Healthy Gut ~ Healthy Brain

MY GUT AND DIGESTIVE ISSUES THAT HAVE PLAGUED ME MOST OF MY LIFE

In my journey to improve my health, I starting doing research on the Internet, reading books to educate myself about my condition. I am extremely blessed to have two great friends and colleagues who have assisted me to see the issues and then what I needed to change to get the results I was looking for.
Both Dr. Gary Johnson and Doctor of Naturopathy, Vicki Eide have shared so much knowledge and made health altering recommendations to allow me to have a good outcome.  I will forever be grateful for all the help they have afforded me.  They are truly “Treasures”.
I was introduced to “Brain Maker”, written by David Permutter, MD and “Wheat Belly” by Dr. William Davis.  In my opinion, a must read for everyone.  These books have information for everyone.  From your infant baby to your Great Great Grand Parents, there is something for everyone.  The sooner you start to understand why having a healthy gut will affect your life outcome.  Do we want to live a full life feeling great every day?  If we do, then it us up to us to educate ourselves and with the information, put it into practice.
I love shopping at my Whole Foods Coop.  You just feel healthy walking into the store.  I have heard the comment, “but it is so expensive shopping there”.  My comment back is always the same.  “What price do you put on your health”?  No more caged chicken eggs for me, no protein full of antibiotics and no fruit and vegetables sprayed with pesticides.  Our choice is not complicated.
While I want to live til at least 90, I only want to if I have my mind and physically feel great.

It truly is up to all of us to educate ourselves and connect with people who have dedicated much of their lives to understanding how to make smart choices.  That is really in the end what it is all about…….SMART CHOICES.

Make it a great day and live your life with passion!

Understanding Alzheimers in the simplist form.

A disease no one wants, however, often times cannot prevent or control.  To understand what takes place helps one understand the spiral affect. I came across this video and found it to be one of the best in explaining Alzheimer's disease.

Understand Alzheimer's Disease in 3 Minutes

Social Media done correctly will drive more traffic to your business.

When it comes to creating great traffic to your business via your website, a person has to either understand how to create and then post to their respective Social Media accounts.

Once they are created, it then becomes critical that you post relevant data on a timely basis.  If you want your Social Media to truly work for you, hire a professional to do your posting.  It will truly change who finds you and will help you with great rankings.

For many, Social Media is like "the deer in the headlights", as they think of it as an account with mindless information.  When done correctly, it is just the opposite.  Today, if you truly want to be competitive Social Media will truly make that difference and should be one of the TOOLS in your "Tool Box".

Why do I care what is in the package?

Today more and more people are looking for ways to create a healthy environment in which to live. From exercise to "what's in the package".  We are inundated with information on what is good for us and what will have a lasting affect later down the road.

So you ask yourself, how do I choose?  Who do I listen to? Are there really experts out there that will give us honest information only because they care, and it is not a "what's in it for me", approach.
That old adage, people will listen to you when they know you are sincere and care about you.  With this I want to make some comments about why we should be concerned about "what is in the package".

Today when shopping in your favorite store, take the time to read the label.  The less ingredients on the label, the purer the product.   If you see words you do not understand, much less be able to pronounce, chances are it is something you should put down.

I love my Whole Foods Co-op.  A business dedicated to bringing healthy food right from the garden.
For the longest time, I would stand at the meat counter in the big box stores and wonder, where did this come from, did anyone really care about the food it was fed.  I left thinking NO.
Today, fish, vegetables and fruit have become my main staples. When I took out the carbs and sugar, my body told me I had done the right thing.  I slept better, did not have indigestion, and just over all felt great!  It was so telling for me.

When I find myself craving something that I know my body really does not want me to have, I ask myself , how much longer do you want to live and what am I doing to achieve this goal.  So I am on a mission, to exercise more, eat the right foods, get a good night sleep, avoid stress whenever possible, and spend time with positive people.

Yes there are times when I eat sweets, and carbs, however, they are few and far between.  The one thing I love about what I have done for myself is I hope to have more time with the people I care about deeply.  My family and friends.

So here is to your health.  Feel free to send me a comment or ask a question.  I will direct you to great and honest information.

Make it a great day & live your life with passion!
